Globalization - AGMSPRITE
Here is a video summarizing the entirety of globlization, not just the aspect of economics in the world.
Globalization has forced progress and transformations in many forms across the globe. New technologies like the internet have helped to flatten the world and allow for more competition and collaboration from different parts of the world. Because of this, geography has become a less substantial factor. Before,
separate areas developed individually, but due toglobalization, the world is able to develop more as a whole in modern society. Globalization pushed
artists to rethink the world of art, allowing for newtypes of art that use combinations of media, techniques, and ideas. Museums were forced to create
venues for a more complex variety of visitors. Globalization also has led to more military alliances, such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
which began in 1949 and includes 28 countries across the globe . NATO and alliances like it allow for more collaboration in military situations. However, with that alliance came the Warsaw Pact which was led by Russia and 10 other communist/socialist nations. Politically, globalization involves a broader audience in political campaigns and situations across the globe. Political and social situations in other countries can now be seen on television and online, leading to more interference and assistance in difficult situations.
Religiously and socially, the flattening of the world has allowed for more communication between countries. For religion, this has led to a few challenges. One of these challenges is the growing support for scientific ideals instead of a religious practice, something the religious community has felt uneasy about for years. However, it has also given different religion 'transportation' to new regions, allowing them to spread. Take for example Islam, Michigan holds the largest population of muslims in the the Dearborn area. Technology in globalization is more of a cause than it is an effect. In the last 15 years, major advances in computer science led by Microsoft, Netscape, and many other companies has exanded the internet into its now booming success. In recent years, advances in social media such as Facebook and Twitter have allowed for even more global interaction. This has given the Media an outlet to view situations countries where they would otherwise be illegal to be in. This can be seen in Seria, where protestors post videos of engagements with the dictorial government to get more people involved with ther cause. Essentially, connecting with a wider variety of people has never been more effortless than it is today. Environmentally speaking, globilization has allowed countries to converse globally and together find ways to help lessen the effects of carbon emissions in the atmosphere.
